Cookie Policy

Cookies and similar technologies on this website

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on this website, and how you can manage them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website operator. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by other parties (such as analytics or embedded content providers) are called "third-party cookies".

"Similar technologies" includes web storage (localStorage / sessionStorage), pixels, and other mechanisms that store information on your device or read information from it.

2. What we use

Our website uses a small set of cookies, summarised below. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third-party tracking on this site.

3. Third-party content

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google LLC. Loading Google Fonts involves Google receiving your IP address and browser information. We use Google Fonts because they are high-quality and freely licensed; we have judged that the privacy implication of loading a single CSS file is proportionate. If you would prefer not to send any information to Google, please use your browser's content-blocking tools or disable web fonts at the browser level; the site will continue to function with a fallback system font.

This website does not embed YouTube videos, social media widgets, mapping services or advertising networks. Where we add such content in future, we will update this policy accordingly.

4. How long cookies stay on your device

Some cookies are "session cookies" and are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Others are "persistent cookies" and remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them. The cookies we currently use are limited to short-lived session cookies and short-lived preference cookies (typically days, not months).

5. Managing cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete specific cookies. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from working.

6. Do Not Track signals

Our website honours "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals where technically feasible. Because we do not set tracking cookies in the first place, the practical effect of DNT on this site is limited.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised from time to time. The current version is the one dated below. Earlier versions are available on request.
